We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we’re collecting it and how it will be used.

We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service. What data we store, we’ll protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

We don’t share personally identifying information publicly. We use service providers as described below and may disclose information when required by law.

App usage and crash reports

SEAiq for iPad and iPhone uses Google Firebase Analytics to help us understand how many app installations are active. Analytics collects a random app-installation identifier, basic usage events such as app opens and sessions, app and device information, and automatically reported in-app purchase events. Google may derive an approximate location from the network connection. These counts do not identify individual people and may count one person using several devices more than once.

We disable advertising identifier and identifier-for-vendor collection, advertising storage, advertising user-data use, personalized advertising, and automatic screen tracking. We do not send names, email addresses, customer identifiers, vessel names, routes, tracks, or precise navigation positions to Analytics, and we do not add custom activity events.

We also use Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes, including crash stack traces and app, device, and operating-system information. Google processes usage and diagnostic information on our behalf. See Firebase privacy information and Google Analytics data safeguards.

Our website may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies.

You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services.
